sousaphones in suspended animation

Post by bloke »

I believe I've figured it out.
If I find that I have for certain, I'll let you guys in on the trick.
It involves heating antimony to the boiling point, and melding its fumes with other secret gases.

Maybe Harrison Ford should be holding it? You could also blow up a picture of a wax worm or slug for Jabba?

I wonder what Carbonite would do to the tone?

Cue the John Williams music! :smilie7:

Sears had Danelectro make electric guitars out of masonite, and the amplifiers were built into their cases.

Why the hell does a sousaphone have to have a case?

Someone surely - somewhere along the way - was smart enough to have figured out how to make the case into the bell, if they had just put their mind to it... and why not masonite valve sections?

You can make Liver of Antimony by detonating equal parts of crude antimony and nitre (potassium nitrate). I’m told it’s delicious with fava beans.
