just saw and subsequently spent a pleasant few hours reading this, available as a kindle download from Amazon;

Jim was my teacher at GSMD and offers a wide range of anecdotes and observations on the tuba and brass players of that period in general. It's obviously UK based but I think the stories are pretty universal and I would highly recommend it!

Seeing this thread, I bought it on Amazon and read it straight through. It was an enjoyable read.
