I have located what I need. THANKS!

I need two of them. These can be different lengths but must match widths and in general shape. Lever arms can be trashed or even cut off or broken. I need the platens only. The finish is unimportant, but no deep scratches or gouges, please, and they need to be flat, not bent up. Again, the levers themselves can be trashed, but the platens need to be at least "mildly sexy".

Now, if you happen to have two Mirafone 2nd lever platens boxed up and wrapped in Tiffany Blue — name your price.

This is not that important. I am looking to back up my recent purchase of two 1989 Swiss Franc coins for the levers I am making for my F tuba. The coins have disappeared, the seller is clueless, and I need to finish these levers. If they do not get used for this project they *will* get used for something. I do not have any nickel silver sheet or bar stock of the needed thickness; it is all too thick or too thin. Cannibalizing existing levers would be a perfect solution for where I am in this project.

Oh, and they need to be pretty inexpensive because I can purchase the platens brand new from Miraphone at a good price. But that would take a long time and add like $75 to my shipping cost. So old parts in someone's junk bin that might take work to get cleaned and modified into the form I need would still be faster and likely less costly.

So if you have two broken or chopped-up levers with good platens that you can let go cheaply, please PM me or post in this thread.

Oh, and if you only want to sell a complete set of junked levers (as in the photo below) send me a pic and let me know what you want for them. I just think two levers sans springs, hinge rod, lever rack, and two other levers are going to cost more than I can afford right now. I understand if you have a set that you want to sell or trade, but don't want to part out.

Thanks for taking the time to read this.
