Hi. Me again. If you’ve read my Buffet tuba post, you know that I REALLY like the 6450. Enough so that I’d like to begin the hunt for a used one. New isn’t in the cards currently.
Here’s what I’d like: an EXCELLENT condition production 6450. No, not the 6450/2 handmade version, though if that’s what you’ve got, let me know. I’d prefer the production model.
Here’s what I’ve got: an EXCELLENT condition 5450RA, that I will either sell outright or trade.
Why haven’t I posted this in the for-sale forum, you ask? Well, I don’t want to be without a C tuba without knowing of a 6450 for sale.
I’m trying to stay as far away from the new price ($18,000) as possible. Got something that’s reasonable? Send me a message.

Is your 5450 silver plate or lacquer? I'm partial to rotary CC horns and I've been looking for a Tuono. I may be willing to buy it. I'm also willing to wait for you to find your 6450. If you don't mind me asking 1) What would you ask for the 5450, and 2) can you post pics?
