To be clear, that’s not “my” tune. I didn’t compose any of the songs on the album. Many of them are my arrangements, though. Inspired by my favorite NOLA groups: Nightcrawlers, Rebirth, Big Sam, the Meters, etc.

I had to do this to my Conn 38K from the 20s. There was just no way to play an F# that wasn't horribly flat. Chopped a little off the 3rd valve circuit and couldn't be happier.

I like your sandpaper/spit-valve contraption on your tuning slide. That's a clever solution I haven't seen before.
