Looking for an original JW York and Sons 91 Tuba mouthpiece.
It has a large shank that fits the York model 91 large receiver.
Both are larger than standard American size shanks and receivers.
Thanks,
Andy

Re: WTB: Baer MMVI CC in American Shank
I have one in mint condition. I bought it in the early 2000’s.
It’s engraved: Alan Baer
Gidding’s & Webster
MMVI
(There is no CC engraving)
It has an American shank.
The price is $120 including shipping in the continental US.
PM me if you are still interested.

Re: WTB Euphonium
Hi,
I have a Besson 767 serial #: 475162 (ca. 1969-70). It is 4 valve compensating, silver plating - mostly worn off, 11 inch bell 580 bore.
It is in very good playing shape.
I’ll send pictures in a few days if you are interested.
Thanks

Re: Conn tubas: discussion thread
My Conn 2J has very often been the perfect tool for the job: Playing in echoey Churches (which are most of them), tight Broadway pits (all of them), playing into a microphone 2 ft or less from the bell, many recording studio situations, Live standing/strolling jobs (Oktoberfest) etc. Many colleagues ...

There’s a 5valve York Monster Eb at Baltimore Brass - a little north of your price range, but worth a look.

Re: Tuba/bass trombone doubling for shows?
The original Broadway productions of Mary Poppins, Lion King, Mystery of Edwin Drood, Beauty and the Beast and Cyrano (to mention a few) all had Bass Trombone/Tuba Books - I’m sure I’m leaving a few out).
